Saturday night/Sunday morning

Saturday night/Sunday morning
Spurs boss AVB was getting stick from a Norwegian behind the dugout in Tromso who was shouting “you’re getting sacked in the morning.” Turns out he was a rag fan, just confirming that no matter where they come from, they’re all twats and just can’t help themselves.
My letter not yet published in the MUEN, but a banal one from journo Les Holt about Charles becoming King was ridiculously published.
Anyroad here’s the It’s A Fix extract from KK210 :

13) SUNDAY DECEMBER 1ST : SWANSEA (HOME) KO 4.10PM

Third season for the Swans in the Prem. most famous connection is Roy Paul, apart from Scott Sinclair. Last Pot : Capital One Cup last season. 25th League meeting.

Some celeb fans : Catherine Zeta Jones, Dylan Thomas, Spencer Davis.

Last season : At the liberty in May it was that boring 0-0 draw. Crowd was 20,242 with 1,708 Blues. More signs of the players not wanting to play for pride and Mancini?
Swans finished 9th with 46 points, but won the Capital One Cup though went out of the FA Cup in the 3rd round to Arsenal 1-1 in a replay after 2-2.

This season so far : They’re in 10th place with 15 points from 12 games and 3 wins 0 draws and 3 losses away from home.
In the Capital One Cup they lost 3-1 at Birmingham in the 3rd rd.
In the Europa league they’ve beaten Malmo 4-0 home and drawn 0-0 away, Petrolul Ploiesti 5-1 home and 2-1 away; Valencia 3-0 away, 0-1 home; St Gallen 1-0 home (away Dec 12th) Kuban Krasnodar 1-1 home and away. So they probably need a result at St Gallen to be sure to go through.

Our form at home to Swansea: At the Etihad last October it was a 1-0 City win, Carlos scoring in the 61st minute. Crowd was 46,801 with 1,624Jacks. Prior to that 6 wins 1 draw 1 loss.
For City : WWWWWWWLDWWW

Comment : Signings included Amat £2.5M, Shelvey £5M, Bony £12M, and the main departure was Luke Moore.
Topsy turvey season for Laudrop’s lads, but they’re doing reasonably well in Europe, and have turned in a few decent performances in the Prem. but 3 points are an absolute must again, before our 3 tricky away games.
WWTWTWShite : Averaged 3,367 in 1991/92 and this season it’s 20,579.

WWTWTWShite : Averaged 3,367 in 1991/92 and this season it’s 20,366.

Incidentally the deadline for KK 211 is a week on Monday and it’s a tight schedule so any stuff required by then or sooner if possible please.
Cheers

Dave

  1. My major concern at the moment is the fact that we never look comfortable until we get two goals in front (I, in turn, am never at ease until we get two goals in front and am never convinced we are going to win until it is three!).This is a huge turnaround from the situation under Mancini when we seemed to find it relatively easy to close a game out at 1-0.(of course, there were the odd exceptions). My other concern is about our lack of true strength in depth as mentioned following Wednesday's win against Plzen. That shouldn't be a worry today as Pellegrini should pick the strongest team available.

  2. roytonboy could have writen that after the game, because his comments are spot on. The first half was nerve wracking as after we scored we seemed to sit bck and encourage them. They created more (real) chances against us today than every other team put together has mnanaged at the Etihad. But the second half was a different matter, we could have scored ten.
