Liverpool

Liverpool – morning news was that Dicky had left Oldham and Keith Curle Notts County.
We needed a win to peg back the rags’ 10 point lead. Polite applause to mark the second  anniversary of Neil Young’s passing. Good start with the Dzeko goal, then the ref didn’t give the foul and the soft bastard stayed down whilst the crowd whistled and inevitably Sturridge (why the booing?) scored. No need.
Gerrard scored a wonder goal (cue red flare in the away end) surpassed only by Sergio’s amazing equaliser, and it finished at 2-2, so the rags lead pegged back to 9 points after a disappointing week for the Blues.
We’re in the throes of putting together KK 204 and we’re getting the usual fantastic response, so thanks guys. Intention is to complete over the weekend and be out for the Leeds game.
Reg Presley RIP

  1. Have to agree with the 'soft bastard' comment. The whole of the team seemed to be half asleep and the goal looked inevitable.

Also, I thought Sturridge had a hell of a game. Terrorised us almost every time he ran at the defence.

  2. Sturridge has obviously matured since he was at City and he spoke well after the game.
Agree with the comments about Dzeko. How many times have we moaned when City have put the ball out when everybody knows that the opponent isn't injured?
The next transfer window will tell us whether Mancini has learnt from his mistakes, particulalry in Europe. We need pace and width so no more one paced, one goal a season midfielders.
