New Tram System

I was in Manchester on the Tuesday and whilst my wife and daughter were shopping, I took the tram to the Etihad from Market Street.  They are supposed to be every 12 minutes, but I waited over 20 minutes for one to arrive.  There was no indication on the board that one had been cancelled, but something must have happened to it.  Trams not arriving could cause problems for people, especially if they are getting on at Piccadilly/Market St as if the system over at Trafford is anything to go by, they don't lay on extra carriages on match days, which is a common complaint from reds' fans.  This could mean people missing the tram they thought would get them to the match as it was full and if the next one doesn't arrive, they could have a problem.  There will also be a some delays at the Droylsden end as the tracks share the main road with normal traffic and if there are roadworks, the tram will be held up too.  However, the journey was smooth, easy and between Piccadill and the stadium, they don't run on the road so won't be held up by traffic.  After a stroll round the Etihad and a visit to the City Store, I went for the return tram, which was well signposted on the board and arrived spot on time.  £2.90 off peak return from the City zone
